Most grantors encourage (and even require) collaboration in grant proposals. We encourage you to contact the CGAIE office with your ideas; we may be able to help make your grant even stronger! Best of all, there is no cost for this service!

ArtistTrust
Provides grants for individual artists residing in the State of Washington. They also provide a quarterly listing and searchable database of opportunities (grants, classes, residencies) for artists throughout the region.

Monitors deadlines for technology & education-related grants and gives advice on grant writing. Click on Grants & Funding.

Ford Family Foundation
Offers support for communities in rural areas of Oregon, particularly in education.

Hood River County Cultural Trust
Provides grants for cultural, historic, arts and heritage projects and events in Hood River County.

Meyer Memorial Trust
This is one of the BEST grants for teachers. Meyer Memorial Trust offers the Support for Teacher Initiatives to provides grants to teachers in public and private elementary and secondary schools in Oregon, for projects intended to stimulate more effective classroom learning. Range is $2,000 to $6,000; application is streamlined for busy teachers. Deadline is February 1.

National Endowment for the Arts
These are the Big Guys. The NEA offers large grants to educators and schools who want to incorporate more arts into their programs. Most of these grants require collaboration with other schools, districts or arts agencies.

Oregon Arts Commission
The Oregon Arts Commission provides grant funding opportunities to support the Arts in the state of Oregon through programs which provide funding opportunities which include general operating support, project-specific support, and support for artist's professional endeavors.

Oregon Cultural Trust
Offers Cultural Development Grants in four areas: access, preservation, creativity and capacity.

Wasco County Cultural Trust
Provides grants for cultural, historic, arts and heritage projects and events in Wasco County.

Washington State Arts Commission
The Washington State Arts Commission believes that “Every child has the right to a well rounded education that includes the arts!” To this end they offer a range of grants that help incorporate the arts into K-12 education.

American Alliance for Theatre and Education
The Alliance raises awareness of the value of drama/theatre education; national resources for professionals involved in theatre for youth and drama/theatre education.

Americans for the Arts
National service organization focused on fostering an environment in which the arts can thrive and contribute to the creation of more livable communities. Website includes national advocacy initiatives and links to best practices in arts education.

American Symphony Orchestra League

Artists for the Arts

ArtsEdge
(Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts) Supports the placement of the arts at the center of the curriculum and advocates creative use of technology to enhance the K-12 educational experience. Site includes tools for developing curricula, teaching materials and professional development resources.

Arts EdNet
Education section of the Getty Institute which offers resources for classroom teachers, college students and professors, and curriculum development.

Arts Education Partnership
National coalition of arts, education, business, philanthropic and government organizations that promote the essential role of the arts in learning. Information about public policy and best practices in arts learning.

Arts4Learning
Young Audiences' compilation of examples of arts programs, resources and discussions that support and animate teaching and learning.

The Arts Online Education Database
Online, searchable database of training programs in Music, Dance, Theatre Arts, Communication Arts and Media Arts offered by North American elementary, middle and high schools, colleges and universities. Summer programs, apprenticeships and internships included.

Artswork: The Kax Herberger Center for Children & the Arts
